Apache HTTP Server 2.2.14 x86 and x64 MSI Installers
In my previous post I mentioned that I would create installers for any future versions of the Apache HTTP Server. And so, here I am providing 32 bit and 64 bit windows binaries for the Apache HTTP Server 2.2.14. The latest version as of this writing. It was released 6 days ago, but I only found out about it today. 😀
Anyway, as before, I have compiled these binaries using Vistual C++ 2008 (VC9) and I have provided “no-ssl” installers like Apache.org.

I have tested the 64 bit binaries with Windows 7 and 32 bit binaries with Windows XP.
If a new version of Apache is released and you see that I haven’t posted installers for it yet, please post a comment and let me know. 😀

Hi Anindya,
how do you create the MSI? Is there a project to use for that or did you roll your own?

Hi Jad, there are installshield project files available from apache.org. You can find them, and other necessary files here – http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/httpd/httpd/win32-msi/trunk/.

Hi Anindya
I have been looking for this kind of project for years. Wonderful to finnaly find it here. Mediafire won’t let go of the file apache_2.2.14-x64-openssl-0.9.8k.msi – could you check to see if it is only for me the error occurs. The other files are downloadable, so I don’t seem to have a problem with Mediafire it self..

I can’t download it either. Most likely a temporary problem with their servers. Let me upload it to megaupload for you.

Any chance you will have the latest x64 binaries compiled some time soon? Looks like any apache on windows version < 2.2.15 is subject to a nasty little exploit that allows hackers to gain full control: http://tech.slashdot.org/story/10/03/08/1258200/Serious-Apache-Exploit-Discovered
I'm trying to hunt down an x64 version of 2.2.15 (relased 2010-03-06).
Thansk!
